These enormous limestone cliffs rise dramatically on both sides of the narrow valley and create one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in southern Morocco. As the afternoon progresses, the landscape becomes filled with dramatic rock formations, winding roads and traditional villages. Day 3: Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast, you continue your journey towards Marrakech through some of the most scenic landscapes in southern Morocco. The road passes through the Valley of Roses, an area known for its beautiful landscapes, traditional villages and production of rose-based products. You then continue along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, where ancient fortified houses and traditional villages appear between the mountains and valleys. The journey continues to Ouarzazate, often considered the gateway to the Sahara and southern Morocco. From here, you visit the historic Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO-listed fortified village that has preserved its traditional earthen architecture and has appeared in several famous films and television productions. After exploring the kasbah, you cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. The road offers impressive views of mountain peaks, deep valleys and small Berber villages scattered across the slopes.
