6 Days Tour from Tangier to Marrakech

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen – Fes

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel, riad, airport or Tangier Port. Then, leave Tangier and drive through the beautiful Rif Mountains toward Chefchaouen. The journey offers wonderful views of green hills, valleys and traditional mountain villages. Once you arrive in Chefchaouen, take time to explore the famous blue medina. Walk through the peaceful narrow streets, discover traditional shops and enjoy the unique atmosphere of this charming mountain town. You can also visit the Kasbah and Uta el-Hammam Square before continuing your journey.

After your visit, continue toward Fes through the northern Moroccan countryside. Along the way, enjoy the changing landscapes and small traditional villages. The journey gradually takes you from the Rif Mountains toward the historic heart of Morocco. Upon arrival in Fes, check into your riad or hotel and relax after the day’s drive. You can then enjoy a quiet evening in the old city before starting your guided Fes visit the following morning.

Day 2: Fes Guided Tour

After breakfast, spend a full day discovering Fes, one of Morocco’s most historic and fascinating imperial cities. With a local guide, begin your visit in the ancient medina of Fes el-Bali. Walk through its narrow streets and discover traditional souks, artisan workshops, old fountains and historic buildings. Along the way, you can see local craftsmen working with leather, pottery, wood, metal and other traditional materials. The famous tanneries are also an important highlight, offering an insight into one of the city’s oldest crafts.

As you continue, discover the architectural and cultural heritage of Fes. Visit traditional madrasas and important historic areas while your guide explains the history and traditions of the city. You will also have time to enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch and explore the colorful souks at your own pace. Later, visit other parts of the city, including the Royal Palace area and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the ancient medina. Finally, return to your riad or hotel and enjoy another night in Fes.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

After breakfast, leave Fes and begin an exciting journey toward the Sahara Desert. First, travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop in Ifrane, a beautiful mountain town surrounded by forests and green landscapes. Then, continue through the cedar forests and mountain roads toward Midelt. Along the route, you will see traditional villages and impressive mountain scenery. After a break in Midelt, continue toward the spectacular Ziz Valley, where the landscape changes dramatically from mountains to palm-filled valleys and desert surroundings.

Next, travel through Erfoud and continue toward Merzouga. As you approach the desert, the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi gradually appear on the horizon. Day 4: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

After breakfast, leave the desert and continue toward the Todra Valley. Continue toward Todra Gorge, one of the most impressive natural attractions in southern Morocco. Once there, take a walk through the narrow section of the gorge and admire the enormous limestone cliffs rising on both sides. The peaceful surroundings make this an excellent place to enjoy nature and take photographs. After the visit, continue through the beautiful Todra Valley toward the Dades Valley. Along the way, discover traditional Berber villages and dramatic rock formations before arriving at your accommodation for a relaxing evening.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou – Marrakech

After breakfast, leave the Dades Valley and continue toward Marrakech through some of southern Morocco’s most beautiful landscapes. First, travel through the Valley of Roses, an area known for its rose gardens, traditional villages and local cosmetic products. Then, continue toward Skoura, where palm groves and historic kasbahs create a beautiful contrast with the surrounding dry landscapes. Afterward, reach Ouarzazate, often known as the gateway to the Sahara and famous for its kasbahs and cinematic landscapes.

Next, continue to the historic village of Aït Ben Haddou. Take time to explore this impressive fortified ksar and walk through its traditional streets. The village offers beautiful views over the surrounding countryside and is one of the most famous cultural sites in Morocco. After the visit, continue toward the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. The road offers spectacular mountain views, traditional villages and several excellent photo stops. Finally, descend from the mountains and arrive in Marrakech in the evening, where you check into your hotel or riad.

Day 6: Marrakech – Tour Ends

After breakfast, enjoy your final morning in Marrakech according to your departure schedule. If you have enough time, explore the historic medina and walk through the colorful souks filled with traditional Moroccan products, spices, textiles and handicrafts. You can also visit Jemaa el-Fna Square and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the Red City before your departure.
